Saperavi originated in what is considered to be the birthplace of wine; Georgia in the Caucuses Saperavi translates to dye or ink is one of the few teinturier grapes, meaning it have red flesh and juice. Our Saperavi is a typical representation with its full body and deeply coloured appearance.
The aromas of autumn berries, ripe dark fruit, cassis and spice follow through on the palate with flavours of dark plum, blackberry, with a hint of dark chocolate. This well balanced wine is delicious to drink now or, with good cellaring, in 10 years.
