Located in the picturesque King Valley, King River Estate was established in 1990 when Trevor Knaggs and father Colin planted the first vines on the Estate.

The vineyard is managed using biodynamic practices which makes the estate sustainable and preserves the land for future generations. In the winery we also use minimal intervention in the wine making process such as using wild yeast (natural ferments), which allows the wine to show its true personality and creates more complex wines.

Let the grapes do the talking

Keeping with Trevor’s traditional yet innovative approach to wine making, the King River Estate’s philosophy is built of the ‘old world’ ways. Wines are made naturally; it is Trevor’s belief that grapes should be left to their own accord, and that wild yeasts and natural fermentation make for far more complex, soft & textural wines.
